Associate Engineer - Electrical Products

Job Title

The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze commercial, technical data of electrical components and assemblies, for generating, supporting and executing different types of cost out, resiliency projects. It also requires contributing towards development of categorywise strategies. Need to work in close collaboration with various cross functional teams and suppliers across the globe. The incumbent would be responsible for Engineering data improvement for various Electrical components or sub assemblies associated with LV, MV products and contribute in data libraries development.

The Incumbent also need to contribute in reducing new product development times, by suggesting cost effective and technically compatible products from strategic suppliers of the category. The applicant should have ability to learn and leverage data analytics, fundamentals of engineering, knowledge of product design and development & ideation principles to create new project opportunities.

1. Data analysis, utilizing technical and commercial information and expertise, for generating cost out opportunities- Resouring, Negotiation and VAVE. 2. Cross functional collaboration for executing the cost out, NPI and resilience projects. Understanding the requirements, proposing best possible solutions and communicating clearly 3. Data banks creation for specified Electrical products, working with contractual engineers 4. Conceptual or theoretical activities related to fundamentals of Electrical Engineering, physics, product design and development knowledge for ideas creation and execution 5. Collaboration with various teams like Should Costing, Sourcing, TCO, plant buyers etc., teams 6. Collaboration with supplier and internal customers, resolving technical queries. 7. Conducting brainstorming sessions and competitor products benchmarking, in collaboration with cross functional teams to generate cost out ideas.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelors/Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering 2years+ of experience with Bachelors degree or 0 years with Masters degree. Experience on design and development of Electrical products and subsystems of LV/MV. Exposure to Cost out projects, ability to handle multiple projects and exposure to SCM.

Skills

Required: 1. Knowledge about electrical products of LV/MV. Product Know-how 2. Noticeable knowledge on Electrical Engineering fundamentals 3. Hands on experience on Electrical products design, development and testing 4. Ability to generate cost out Ideas using Engineering fundamentals, design basics, product knowledge, data analytics and through Brainstorming sessions. 5. Knowledge on various standards applicable to electrical products 1. Learning Agility 2. Team work and collaboration. 3. Good interpersonal skills, Communication (Oral, verbal) and presentation skills. Ability to speak up if any roadblock appears 4. Data analytics skills 5. Structured approach 6.
