The EAT HAPPY GROUP / FCF Holding GmbH with headquarters in Cologne unites several food concepts such as EatHappy ToGo GmbH, EH Candy Cuisine GmbH, and Bowl Sushi Lab GmbH, which specialize in the production and distribution of Asian foods. In close cooperation with EatHappy GmbH and its more than 5,500 employees, we offer fresh, hand-rolled sushi and other Asian specialties for purchase in over 1,600 shops nationwide in the food retail industry since over 10 years. The sushi lovingly prepared in front of the customers in the supermarket combines quality, taste, and the passion for ancient Asian tradition – adapted to today’s zeitgeist.

Thanks to our steady expansion, the EAT HAPPY GROUP now also operates numerous locations in Italy, Luxembourg, Austria, and Slovakia. The FCF Holding GmbH employs around 200 employees in the heart of Cologne in the administration. We are looking for a

Data Engineer (M/W/D)

for our headquarter on the Cologne rings.

What You Will Do:

• Build, maintain, and develop data architectures (e.g., data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses)
• Develop and orchestrate ETL/ELT processes for data integration
• Data modeling and optimization to support analysis and reporting applications
• Integration of diverse data sources and building automated data pipelines (batch and streaming processing)
• Close collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and developers to develop data-driven solutions
• Operation and versioning of data projects with Git and Azure DevOps
• Monitoring, logging, and performance tuning of data workloads

What You Bring:

• Strong knowledge of SQL and practical experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience working with lakehouse architectures (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or similar)
• Good knowledge of Python (especially for data processing) and Bash scripting
• Experience using and managing orchestration tools like Airflow or similar
• Secure handling of Git, ideally with experience in CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with data modeling principles (e.g., star schema, 3NF, data vault)
• Independent and structured working style, strong team spirit, and a sense for clean, maintainable code
