- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of related work experience with data platforms
- Proficiency in a wide variety of database technologies such as MySQL, Vertica, Cassandra, and Redis
- Experience with cloud-based database platforms like RDS, Aurora, Keyspaces, CloudSQL, and BigTable
- Strong understanding of database security principles and backup and recovery processes
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Solid communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a cross-functional team environment
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible and Puppet
- Ability to balance long-term thinking with rapidly delivering solutions to improve system stability
