Derivative Operations Manager

Key Accountabilities

Oversight of trade life cycle of all derivatives related trades

Oversight of cleared and uncleared OTC and ETDs

Oversight on collateral management services provided by service providers

Provide support / lead on new instruments, new market initiatives

Provide support to enable quick turnaround for collateral substitution process

Build and/or review new operating model for new trading instruments

Lead the UAT of new trading instruments enablement

Provide expertise for new middle office service provider onboarding, including defining scope, user acceptance testing, implementation, post implementation monitoring

Manage operational activities under tactical mode and implement strategic rollout plans

Review new and amendments to ISDA, CSA, GMRA, CTA, etc

Attend to both external and internal stakeholder's inquiry promptly

Experience / Qualifications

A degree or equivalent preferably in finance/accounting

Min 5 years experiences in middle and back office of an asset management firm, hedge fund or banks

Expert in derivatives (exchange traded, bilateral OTC, e.g., cleared OTC, futures, forwards, swaps, options, warrants etc)

Experience in reviewing ISDA schedules, CSA, GMRA, CTA, etc

Familiar with various structures of funds

Manage external vendor and provide oversight

Experience in using Aladdin and DTCC preferred

Thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well independently under pressure

Strong problem-solving and analytical skill

A good team player that can support the overall team deliverables

Communicate effectively and efficiently with all levels of staff, management, and external stakeholders

Positive and fast learner

Meticulous to details

Willingness to take ownership and responsibility

Service oriented, client focused, strong analytical skills and proactive with an ability to build positive relationships
