This person will be responsible for their own territory of accounts and provide sales administrative support for the team. They will contribute to market growth in LAR by collaborating with Account Managers following the commercial strategy defined by CI Leadership team. Main activities include executing growth strategy at regional inside sales accounts for Chemical Intermediates, providing administrative support to the CI sales team in specific activities, offering railcars demurrage internal support and communication to customers, managing samples process for CI customers South LAR, and handling CI inquiries in Salesforce. They will also manage inbound, unsolicited prospect calls, execute long term growth strategy at regional inside sales accounts for Chemical Intermediates LAR, quantify business cases for price and volume negotiation at inside sales accounts, work with Pricing on Competitive Price Assessments, communicate the entire offering and value, including product/service features and benefits, prices, and credit terms, negotiate including pricing, sales terms and other conditions, close new business on existing and new inside sales customers, warm leads to handover to Spec Reps and Account Managers, develop and utilize territory management plan, make outbound follow-up contact servicing existing accounts consisting of order follow-ups, complaint handling, resolving credit concerns, sample follow ups, and other account related issues.
Qualifications include English and Spanish, previous inside sales or customer service experience, collaborative and communicative, motivated, bias for action and capable to work without direct supervision, organized, capable to work with deadlines and attention to details, adaptability, experience with SalesForce and other sales systems and tools (mainly Excel), account planning, identify customer needs, opportunity management, prospecting, targeting and territory management, call planning, value proposition and reinforcement, negotiation, financial and business acumen, internal communication and teamwork, forecasting.
