Packaging Engineer

The Packaging Engineer is responsible for securing the products into the appropriate packing, working on the machinery that assists with the involved processes, and communicating with internal departments as well as customers. General Responsibilities:

• Key participant in various tasks such as packing, wrapping, securing, or labeling containers
• Key participant in the development of innovative technology alternatives, analyze the options, and recommend the best technical solution
• Organizes the development of various packaging concepts in coordination with finished products and materials used to ensure compatibility of packaging with manufacturing unit
• Collaborates with both national and international vendors to negotiate total price of materials needed for the labeling/packaging and delivering of products

Experience / Qualifications:

• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
