Engineering Technician

The Engineering Technician provides technical support to engineers to achieve improvements in accordance with operational and production processes.

General Responsibilities

• Leads analyzing the malfunctions and deviations of control systems to identify and resolve problems.
• Supports the engineering team on sample builds.
• Ensures tooling and equipment validation with engineering.
• Performs engineering tests.
• Ensures the development of testing and data analysis.
• Runs cycle time studies that identify potential bottlenecks.
• Resolves irregularities in the process of the manufacturing equipment.
• Performs analysis and prepares reports using metrics obtained from monitoring using raw data, trends, and other reports.
• Performs technical issues and trains other employees in the team.
• Advises on analysis and reports on metrics obtained from tracking using raw data, trends, and other reports.

Experience / Qualifications

• Relevant work experience or knowledge of the role.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Strong organization, planning, and time management skills to achieve results.
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist in new product development plus perform validation and documentation DV tests.
• Perform engineering tests.
• Develop test fixtures for component assembly and validation testing.
• Acquire, analyze, and document data.
• Ensure all tests are completed accurately, on-time, and are clearly documented.
• Development testing & data analysis, validation testing, test fixturing (mechanical and electrical), test report writing, troubleshooting.
• Work with engineers on program timing and development of testing requirements.
• Work with other technicians to achieve team goals.
• Support and oversee the build of prototype samples, including developing work instructions, guiding operators, collecting and evaluating in-process data.
• Verify compliance of incoming prototype material prior to assembly builds.

Additional Qualifications

• Be able to interpret data and make observations/recommendations from experimental results.
• Ability to do light electrical soldering to modify and/or test PCBs.
• Ability to perform device failure analysis if needed.
• Ability to read prints and machine fixtures, tooling, etc.

Hourly Base Pay Range: $28.00 - $38.50
