Field Service Technician (Av / Workplace Technology)

The Field Service Technician (AV / Workplace Technology) is responsible for the onsite installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support of audio-visual and workplace technology solutions at client locations. This role is highly hands-on and client-facing, ensuring reliable operation of meeting room, collaboration, and integrated AV systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission audio-visual and workplace technology systems, including displays, projectors, conferencing equipment, control systems, and peripherals
- Perform onsite troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs of AV and IT-related issues
- Support meeting room and collaboration technologies (e.g. video conferencing, wireless presentation, room scheduling systems)
- Read and follow system schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Perform equipment mounting, cable termination, labelling, and rack installation
- Test systems to ensure functionality, performance, and compliance with specifications
- Provide basic user training and technical guidance to clients when required
- Document service activities, configurations, and resolutions accurately
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and remote support teams
- Maintain a professional presence while working onsite at client locations
- Adhere to safety standards, company procedures, and quality guidelines
