Engineering Manager
Duetto is the industry-leading hospitality revenue management system, helping hotels, resorts, and casinos optimize revenue and profitability. Our SaaS platform powers thousands of properties globally and is evolving into a Revenue & Profit Operating System —a platform that learns from real-world outcomes and enables increasingly autonomous decision-making.
As we scale, we are modernizing our architecture, operating model, and development practices to maximize time to value, platform leverage, and long-term durability.
The Engineering Manager (EM) leads a product-aligned engineering team responsible for delivering end-to-end capabilities, not just features. This role balances people leadership, technical judgment, and execution, with a strong emphasis on outcomes, system health, and leverage creation.
Engineering Managers at Duetto are accountable for:
- Building high-performing, resilient teams
- Shipping high-quality software aligned to business outcomes

- Adopting AI-accelerated development practices to amplify team effectiveness
This role collaborates closely with Product, Architecture, Data, and Platform partners across globally distributed teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Team Leadership & Development
- Delivery & Outcomes

- Strong technical foundation with the ability to review designs and code across backend and frontend systems.
- Experience delivering complex systems incrementally in a production environment.

- Preferred:
- Experience leading platform, application, infrastructure, data, or integration-heavy teams.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted or agentic development tools and workflows.
- Experience scaling systems and teams in a high-growth SaaS environment.
- Domain experience in hospitality, revenue management, or adjacent industries.
What success looks like:
- Your team consistently delivers meaningful business outcomes with increasing efficiency.
- System reliability, scalability, and cost profile improve over time.
- Engineers on your team grow in skill, autonomy, and impact.
- AI and automation meaningfully amplify the team's effectiveness.
- Your area of ownership becomes easier—not harder—to build on over time.
Domain focus:
- You will manage a full stack team delivering a best in class product focusing on groups. The team owns multiple systems including complex UI pages, microservices, and forecasts. Systems are enterprise grade software with high SLA and quality requirements. UI is React (JS/Typescript), with a Java Spring monolith, Mongo DB, Spring Boot microservice with Postgres (RDS), all on AWS.
- This is a player/coach role. You will partner with the team's technical lead to ensure that the team delivers to a high technical bar. You will also partner with the team's product manager to find execution paths (the how) to delivering (the what).
- Keys to success: You are interested in hospitality. Hotel revenue management is a deep domain - you don't need to join with domain expertise but impact in this role requires gaining it quickly. You are good at getting stuff done. Strong cross-functional communication and the ability to get things done in a dynamic environment. You are outcome focused. Individuals and interactions over processes and tools.
