Kitchen & Laundry Technician

An opportunity has arisen for Kitchen & Laundry Technician to join Jumeirah Jabal Omar.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

1. Ensure all Laundry equipment is operating efficiently and safely in compliance with health and safety standards.
2. Inspect, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen and laundry appliances such as Boiler, ovens, stoves, grills, fryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, and exhaust systems.
3. Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and service disruptions.
4. Maintain and repair laundry machines including washers, dryers, ironing systems, and steam generators.
5. Monitor performance and conduct regular service to ensure optimal functionality.
6. Respond to breakdowns and coordinate with laundry operations to minimize impact on service delivery.
7. Able to find fault and diagnose Kitchen and Laundry Technician systems. Good electrical knowledge.
8. Knowledge of BMS systems
9. Experience with reciprocating Chillers and Air handling plant and cold rooms.
10. Familiar with planned Preventive Maintenance and Safety programs.
11. Flexible team player able to work on own initiative and follows Superior instructions and duties according to operation demand.
12. Works closely with electrician to carry out electrical work when required.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Hold a technical diploma or certification in electrical, mechanical, or appliance maintenance.
• Possess strong knowledge of commercial kitchen and laundry systems.
• Interpret and read technical manuals and schematics accurately.
• Adapt to flexible work schedules, including shifts, weekends, and emergency situations.
• Have 3-4 years of experience in kitchen and laundry equipment maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or resort environment.
