Assistant Guest Services Manager

An opportunity has arisen for Assistant Guest Services Manager to join our Concierge team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab Residences. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

1. Ensure exceptional guest service by maintaining a friendly and helpful attitude towards colleagues and guests, promptly addressing queries and requests, and handling complaints professionally.
2. Oversee porch and luggage services, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, maximizing guest satisfaction, and adhering to standards to avoid delays, loss, or damage.
3. Keep all guest-related information up to date in Opera, iPads, and Mercury, including details about restaurants, bars, airlines, shopping malls, and hotel facilities.
4. Handle guest complaints promptly and professionally according to Jumeirah standards, ensuring resolution and guest satisfaction.
5. Equip Concierge colleagues with resources and ensure they receive adequate training (6 hours per month), maintaining accurate training records.
6. Prepare duty rosters, attendance sheets, and vacation plans for Concierge, Doormen and Vallet teams, ensuring optimum coverage and control of leave allocations.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• A few years of work experience in the same role preferably with an international luxury hospitality company
• Software competencies – Microsoft Office programs (Intermediate | Advanced)
• Problem solving
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus
• Project Management Skills is a benefit
