You have a sharp eye for solving problems, and you know how to knit together infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring solutions into a well-oiled machine. You can turn complex technical talk into plain language, adapt when plans change, and treat challenges as chances to level up. How you make it all possible:

• Perform day-to-day DevOps tasks, supporting the DevOps Tech Lead with more complex projects.
• Provision, maintain, and improve infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
• Support DevOps Engineers with daily tasks and prioritise workloads to deliver the best possible service.
• Advise development teams on CI/CD pipeline setup and best practices (GitLab).
• Assist with escalated support tickets and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
• Implement and improve processes using automation tools (e.g., AWS CDK, Ansible).
• Maintain clear, well-documented processes and workflows.
• Collaborate with the DevOps Tech Lead on team goals, objectives, and infrastructure planning.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies to improve performance, reliability, and security.

What's in your toolbox:

• Strong technical expertise, with at least 5 years in a DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure role.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, and containerisation — plus the ability to deploy and maintain non-containerised solutions when needed.
• Proven skills with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CDK, Terraform and Ansible, delivering reliable and repeatable environments.
• Solid experience with CI/CD tools, monitoring, alerting, telemetry, and observability to keep systems running smoothly.
• Strong understanding of digital security tooling and best practices.
• Confident working with Linux and the command line.
• Good working knowledge of GitLab or GitHub, with CI/CD best practices as second nature.
• Excellent problem-solving, adaptability, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure while maintaining quality.
• A growth mindset with a commitment to ongoing learning and improvement.

This list is not exhaustive, and you will be expected to work flexibly and undertake other such duties the management may from time to time, as reasonably required.

Be good to have:

• AWS certifications under your belt (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Kubernetes certifications to show off your container know-how (e.g., CKA, CKAD).
• Linux certifications that prove your command-line credentials (e.g., RHCSA, LFCS).

The role will be based from our Hartlebury or Manchester offices, but there will be times when you'll need to work from our offices and undertake other related commercial duties both in the UK and overseas. Flexibility is key!
