Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

• Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.

• Performs all technical duties of his or her expertise/licensure.
• Assists with evaluation of overall job performance for the technical and clinical staff.
• Assist with counseling staff in regard to performance, conduct attendance and other related matters.
• Prepares radiology work schedules.
• Assist to ensure that new staff receive proper orientation and three-month evaluation.
• Supervises the technical aspects of radiographic procedures and maintains prescribed standards.
• Assists in developing/maintaining technique charts.
• Serves as a resource and support person for Radiographers.
• Assists in resolving inter and inter departmental problems relating to Radiology services.
• Lends his/her expertise to staff radiographers when needed in performing highly difficult or complicated procedure.
Responsible for the weekly inventory of diagnostic area supplies, orders needed items via computer.
Responsible for weekly inventory of contrast media, ordering needed supply from Pharmacy.
Assists in performing departmental safety inspections.
Reports equipment malfunction to service vendors, ensuring all required documentation is completed.
Informs staff of changes in policies, procedures and changes that occur in the department.
Assists in updating/maintaining departmental Policy and Procedure Manuals for optimal compliance with The Joint Commission.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education And/Or Experience:
• Associate's degree (A A) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school accredited by the Committee of Allied Health Education and the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
• Registered as an RT-R by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
• 3-5 yr. pediatric imaging experience.
• Holds current unlimited Texas CMRT license.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
List the licenses, certificates, or registrations that are required to perform the essential duties of this job.
• Registered as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT-R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
• Current Texas State CMRT License.
• Current CPR Certification.
