The Simulation group is responsible for designing, developing, validating, and maintaining dynamic simulations and infrastructure for rapid assessment, integration, and test of complex systems. Simulation applications range from high-level behavioral simulations for visualization and evaluation of system concepts, to interactive simulations for human automation teaming experiments including image generation for human users and AI/ML models, to high-fidelity real-time simulations and Hardware-in-the-Loop infrastructure to support development, integration, test, and sustainment of systems and software. The Simulation group is seeking an intern who could either help with developing features for our in-house C++ real-time simulation framework, or who could be embedded with a program developing a simulation of a vehicle.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhancement engineering solutions for challenging problems.
  • Implement, test, perform analysis, and provide documentation support.
  • Generate and present test reports including plots, tables, evaluation criteria, and conclusions from data collected and analyzed throughout the test process.
  • Complete assignments designed to develop a practical knowledge of processes, procedures, equipment, facilities, and systems as well as their interrelationships within engineering disciplines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Program Requirements

  • Enrolled in an accredited full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program required.
  • There is flexibility regarding hours and program duration based on applicant's school schedule and availability.

Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to ever-changing environments, risks, and vulnerabilities.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Qualifications

  • Progress towards an Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant degree
  • Familiarity with object oriented software development, preferably C++ or Python
  • Familiarity with creating and delivering presentations of engineering designs
  • Basic knowledge of dynamics and linear algebra a plus

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $15.00 - $225.00.
