Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines for high-velocity time-series healthcare data.
• Work with cross-functional teams (Data Science, Product, and Clinical) to understand data requirements and translate them into engineering solutions.
• Manage and optimize batch and real-time data ingestion and processing using modern data engineering tools.
• Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data lakes to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning workflows.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability systems to ensure data quality and pipeline uptime.
• Collaborate with DevOps and ML Ops to deploy and monitor data services in production environments.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data security and privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2, ISO27001).
• Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and lead the effort to resolve them.

Requirements:

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
• Proficiency in building ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, Kafka, or similar.
• Strong programming skills in Python (preferred), Scala, or Java.
• Experience working with time-series data and large-scale distributed data systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (preferred AWS).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data across different storage formats (Parquet, Avro, JSON).
• Understanding of data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning for analytical workloads.
• Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD practices, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
