Downer's MyTime + MyPay Program
Are you a recent graduate or early-career professional looking for hands-on experience in HR, business operations, and enterprise transformation? Join Downer's MyTime + MyPay Program, a large-scale initiative to align and standardise time, attendance, and payroll systems across the organisation.
In this role, you will provide operational, coordination, and administrative support to the Business Stream, helping streamline program activities, governance, and stakeholder engagement. You'll gain practical exposure to organisation design, workforce transition, change management, and project delivery while collaborating with multiple streams including People & Culture, Payroll, Technology, and Operations.
This is a high-profile, fast-paced program, and we are looking for someone with energy, drive, and a proactive mindset to help us deliver results. Immediate start preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive, confidential, and responsive support to ensure smooth coordination of priorities, meetings, deliverables, and correspondence.
- Prepare and manage briefing packs, reports, presentations, and dashboards for executive and governance forums.
- Track key decisions, actions, and dependencies, providing visibility of progress and risks across projects.
- Support engagement with key stakeholders, managing follow-ups and maintaining momentum on critical business actions.
- Coordinate project activities across Time and Payroll streams, ensuring integration between workstreams (process, people, technology, change).
- Schedule, organise, and document key project meetings, workshops, and working groups.
- Maintain central program documentation, registers, and artefacts, including decision logs, risks/issues, and communications trackers.
- Support procurement and vendor coordination activities as required.
- Assist the P&C Workstream with planning and implementing future-state operating model changes across time capture, payroll, and leave management functions.
- Coordinate workshops and activities relating to organisation design, role mapping, and structural changes.
- Maintain documentation and version control of operating model artefacts (structure charts, role profiles, RACI matrices).
- Track and monitor role impact assessments, supporting retention and transition strategies, and ensure compliance with organisational change protocols.
- Coordinate internal communication and engagement activities across projects on behalf of the Business Lead.
- Support preparation of key messages, stakeholder updates, FAQs, and briefing notes.
- Assist with engagement sessions, training coordination, and feedback tracking.
- Build strong working relationships across People & Culture, Payroll, Technology, and operational business units.
- Coordinate onboarding, role tracking, and assignment documentation.
- Maintain oversight of timesheet submissions, effort tracking, and external resource management.
What You Will Bring
Education & Experience
- Recent graduate in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- Experience in HR administration, project support, or HR/payroll internships is desirable but not essential.
Skills & Knowledge
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; basic understanding of P&C and payroll processes.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
