RAM Engineer

Our capability allows us to offer turnkey solutions for complex projects and spans every project phase, from design and manufacture to through-life-support, condition monitoring and data analytics, fleet maintenance, operations and comprehensive overhaul of assets.

Our high performing team are seeking to appoint a RAM Engineer to join our team. You will support the overall RAM capability within the business across all aspects of a project life cycle following system engineering practices (business development, tenders, project and through life support). You will also support the RAM team in ensuring that effective RAM systems and processes are utilised to deliver against business and project objectives. For any challenging tasks or issues there will be senior engineers that will assist.

Education & experience:

• Minimum Degree qualifications – Bachelors of Engineering (Any Discipline)
• Formal tertiary RAM qualification or specialisation is highly desired.
• 2 years relevant experience in RAM and/or Maintenance background within Rail, Aerospace, Defence or a similar heavy industry environment.

Skills & knowledge however not limited to:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide rapid and effective engineering support to management and trade staff
• Excellent computer skills with experience in the development and management of information systems

Knowledge of:

• Relevant Australian and International RAM standards (i.e.: EN 50126)
• Engineering design and change management processes
• Problem solving methods and processes

Specific RAM skills (is capable in a few but not necessarily all items listed below)

• Relevant Australian and International RAM standards (i.e.: EN 50126)
• Design Knowledge and understanding of Physics of Failure
• FMECA/FMEA knowledge
• Reliability Block Diagrams / Fault Tree Analysis
• Data Collection and Analysis skills with ability to generate reports from database applications.
• RAM test specification and conduct (including HALT/ALT)
• Reliability Centred Maintenance & Condition Based Maintenance
• Life Cycle Costing & Spares Analysis
• Reliability Growth Modelling.
• Availability Modelling and Simulations
