SQE Compliance Engineer

The Role
The Global SQE Compliance Engineer will be responsible for collecting component product (ROHS, REACH, PFAS, etc) and trade compliance certificates (aluminum, steel, copper etc) to support business.
What you will do:
- To understand the technical key points of certificate when new request is raised.
- Work with product compliance and trade compliance team to identify what certificate is required by commodity.
- Work with procurement and sourcing to figure out tier 1 and tier 2 supplier purchasing history, get supplier contact information, and send supplier communication letter to supplier.
- Collect supplier parts certificates and share with product and trade compliance team.
- Oversee supplier component certificates collection plan/preparation and progress for PTM/VAVE projects.
What you need to have:
- Ideally Education/Training Required:
- Bachelors' degree in business management, mechanical engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent combination of experience.
- Work Experience Required:
- Minimum 4 years of working experience.
- Can read the component drawing to understand part raw material commodity and processing type.
- Knowledge about ROHS, REACH, PFAS, UL is preferred.
- Knowledge & Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent procedure writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
- Some project management experience.
- Experience with multi-national corporation's a plus.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Engineering, including technical documentation, with a basic understanding of business knowledge.
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
