Automation Engineering Intern In Paris

TIER-Dott is the European champion of shared micro-mobility. Created through the merger of operators TIER and Dott in March 2024, the company decided to move forward under the name of Dott and integrated all vehicles into the Dott app. With the mission to change mobility for good, the team is led by CEO Henri Moissinac and President Maxim Romain. TIER-Dott facilitates sustainable travel, reduces congestion and pollution in cities, and decreases reliance on cars. With more than 250,000 shared vehicles in more than 400 cities across 21 countries in Europe and the Middle East, the 10 million users have generated over 400 million rides so far.

This internship is for a duration of 6 months, starting as soon as possible in 2025. You will gain hands-on experience in process automation and engineering while driving a key project with direct impact on the company's efficiency in a dynamic and international team.

Our Engineering team is international and collaborative, with members based in Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam. Together, we focus on building reliable, scalable solutions that help the company operate more efficiently and effectively. We partner closely with teams like Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to turn business needs into practical technical solutions. While automation is a new initiative for us, we see it as a key lever for future impact. As an intern, you'll be at the forefront of this journey—helping us shape and embed automation into the way we work. The role and your impact.

As an Automation Intern in our Engineering team, you will drive the launch and adoption of our new self-serve automation program. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in process automation and engineering while leading a project with measurable company-wide impact.

  • Build & Co-Build Automations: Develop end-to-end automations for high-impact workflows, while also training colleagues to build independently.
  • Identify & Analyze Opportunities: Partner with teams like Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to uncover processes that can be automated.
  • Create Documentation: Develop and maintain an internal knowledge base with clear how-to guides for scalable adoption.
  • Champion Success: Track the impact of automations, share success stories, and build momentum across the company.

You'll fit great with these skills and qualifications.

Education & Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a Data, Software, Systems or IT Engineering degree (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of data types and data structures.
  • Familiarity with at least one automation platform (e.g., n8n, Zapier, Make) and AI tools.
  • Previous internship or project experience in process automation or engineering is a plus.

Language & Location:

  • Fluent in English (other languages are a plus).
  • Based in Paris, France (onsite internship).
