About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic recent college graduates to join our dynamic team at DoorDash. Data plays a pivotal role in the success of DoorDash, and our Data Engineering team is at the forefront of this endeavor.  You will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and software frameworks. Your expertise will contribute to our organization’s success by ensuring seamless data flow, efficient data processing, and reliable software applications.

  • Design, develop and implement large scale, high volume, high performance data models and pipelines for Data Lake and Data Warehouse
  • Develop and implement data quality checks, conduct QA and implement monitoring routines
  • Improve the reliability and scalability of our ETL processes
  • Manage a portfolio of data products that deliver high-quality, trustworthy data

We’re excited about you because you have…

  • B.S., M.S. in Computer Science or related disciplines with graduation date between Spring 2022 and December 2023
  • At least 2 previous Software Engineering internships or equivalent work experience, with no more than 2 years of full-time work experience
  • Experience working in data engineering or a similar role
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python/Java/Scala
  • Experience in ETL orchestration and workflow management tools like Airflow, Flink using AWS
  • Experience in Database fundamentals, SQL and distributed computing
  • Experience with the Distributed data/similar ecosystem (Spark, Presto) and streaming technologies such as Kafka/Flink
  • Experience working with Snowflake, Databricks, cockroachDB/ PostgreSQL and other DBMS platforms

Nice to Haves:

  • Able to analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various systems
  • Excited to develop software frameworks around data products
  • Experience with solutions for systems monitoring, live deployments, and continuous integration
  • Experience with real-time technology problems
  • Experience working with service oriented architecture, writing APIs, and designing systems

The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below.  Compensation in other geographies may vary.

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.  For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location.  Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.
