✨ About The Role
- The Legal Operations Lead, eBilling & Outside Counsel Management, is responsible for negotiating engagement letters, onboarding law firms, ensuring billing compliance, and managing the legal team's budget.
- This role involves overseeing relationships with outside counsel and legal vendors, managing the vendor payment process, and optimizing technology to manage department spend efficiently.
- The position requires leveraging data through metrics and dashboards to provide meaningful insights for department leadership and finance partners.
- Responsibilities include negotiating engagement letters, assisting with budget development, and supporting departmental people processes.
- The role reports to the Chief of Staff, Legal, and requires a self-starter who can drive operational excellence and support innovation within the legal team.

- The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in legal e-billing, either in-house or at a law firm, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- They should possess technical and operational experience to make informed decisions related to managing outside counsel and eBilling platforms.
- A detail-oriented individual who can proactively identify issues, provide solutions, and implement best practices and process improvements.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to represent the DoorDash brand with humility and a customer-first mindset.
- The successful candidate should be a self-motivated, rapid learner excited about developing analytical and problem-solving skills.
