Millstone Power Station is looking for a Supervisor-Nuclear Engineering. This position will report to the Manager – Site Engineering. The assigned area of responsibility will be associated with supporting Maintenance and Operations, as well as Engineering ownership for various programs. The selected candidate will provide leadership and direction to an Engineering work group to support safe and efficient nuclear power station operation.

The knowledge, skills, abilities and education required for entry into this job include the following:

• 7+ years of engineering experience of which at least 1 year shall be nuclear power plant experience. On-site experience to include at least .25 yr.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of power plant operations
• Ability to organize and manage human resources
• Shift technical advisor (STA)
• Qualification or Senior reactor operator (SRO license is preferred
• Nuclear station engineering experience is highly desired
• Knowledge of power plant operations
• Ability to organize and manage human resources
• Solution oriented attitude
• Proactively develops entry level engineers to move on to greater responsibility
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Lead personnel to safely and efficiently executive work
• Organize resources to achieve station goals
• Demonstrate high level of ownership for their responsibilities, persists through adversity, and follows through with commitments
• Acts with bias for action to challenge and correct behavior driven results
• Proactively communicates information and decisions to personnel and station leaders in a manner that is honest, direct, and meaningful
• Demonstrates and promotes a clear bias for action to resolve issues while exhibiting sound judgment and conservative decision making
• Maintains appropriate oversight of his/her personnel and team members and acts promptly to provide direction when necessary
• Demonstrated ability to understand a wide variety of topics and be sufficiently intrusive to ensure all work items under their area of responsibility are produced with the highest of quality and technical accuracy

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor Preferred Discipline(s): Engineering, Engineering Technology
