Manager-Supply Chain Services - Procurement, Services & Materials

Leads a team responsible for the procurement of materials and services to support DEV's Electric Transmission organization. Oversees the end-to-end procurement process, ensures compliance of procurement activities in accordance with established Supply Chain (SC) policies and procedures. Familiarity with the regulatory and compliance requirements, as well as an understanding of the unique challenges and risks involved in managing the procurement function within the industry. Coach and directs teams to improve upon key SC objectives of innovation, automation, quality, risk, and cost considerations. Develop and maintain relationships with assigned business units, to facilitate understanding of business needs and SC requirements. Forecast and manage spend analysis, prioritization and selection of sourcing initiatives. Manage SOX requirements and internal controls. Lead major negotiations and drive supplier integration. Monitor and evaluate SC risks, including critical materials, suppliers, potential threats (cyber, environmental, safety, business continuity, etc). Support DE in delivering Strategic Objectives, taking responsibility for engaging with business units to ensure a teaming approach throughout the procurement lifecycle. Partner and regularly engage with business unit customers to demonstrate the value of SC. Hire and retain a strong talent pool to support departmental objectives and business needs. Seek opportunities to develop individual contributors through personalized goals and objectives. Ensure quality and competency within the SC is maintained at expected standards to ensure good value, minimization of rework, and all compliance requirements. Assesses and prioritize department and/or project requirements and resource needs. Plan and implement communications on initiatives and strategies. Hold people accountable, lead cross functional teams and experience in working with resolution management. Monitor and understand market trends. Accountable for supplier performance evaluations and implement supplier performance improvements as necessary. Has in-depth understanding of contract terms and conditions to provide leadership and guidance on major contract negotiations. Develops and implements on-boarding plans for all hires. Manages and oversees implementation and usage of supplier performance evaluations. Identify and implement growth and development opportunities for staff. Responsible for management of departmental budget.

8-10+ years of related experience. Experience with SAP, preferred. Conducts business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard for legal and environmental regulations. Thorough knowledge of supply chain management principles. Knowledge of inventory management, materials, warehousing, equipment, purchasing, and transportation. Thorough understanding of available disposal alternatives. Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations. Leadership skills. Budget and resource management skills. Teaming skills. Organization skills. Oral and written communication skills. Negotiation skills. Proficient personal computer skills. Employee management skills. Ability to deal with rapid changes in technology and business operations. Ability to multi-tasked. Ability to make effective decisions. Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor Preferred Disciplines: Business, Engineering, Materials Management, Supply Chain Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
