Exciting opportunity for a summer intern! Selected student(s) will gain utility knowledge in the Dominion Energy South Carolina Transmission Operations Center. This position is located in Cayce, South Carolina. Duties include but not limited to: outage planning and analysis of electric transmission system facilities; preparing and maintaining operator displays; supporting operator training; supporting various control room projects; and supporting Renewable Operations.
Must have strong computer knowledge and skills with demonstrated ability to learn and utilize AutoCAD, GIS and Microsoft Office products; must have good verbal and written communication skills; be able to work independently and as a team; must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned work location and have reliable transportation; must be able to move about freely and perform field work; must be able to travel and work outside of normal business hours through the company territory.
Must be in the process of obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Must have an anticipated Graduation Dates of Spring 2027 or later
