We are looking for a cashier and/or stocker to function in a lead capacity in the absence of the store manager or assistant store manager. The role will include assisting in setting and maintaining plan-o-grams and programs, providing exemplary customer service, and performing other duties to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and teamwork, while protecting company assets and reducing losses.
Duties include unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, restocking returned and recovered merchandise, assisting in plan-o-gram implementation, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization. The position requires adherence to company policies and procedures, including cashier accountability, key control, and adherence to company security practices and cash control procedures.
Qualifications include the ability to perform mathematical calculations, knowledge of cash handling procedures, and effective interpersonal and communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) is preferred.
Working conditions include frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling; frequent handling of merchandise and equipment; frequent and proper lifting of up to 40 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds; occasional climbing; fast-paced environment; moderate noise level; occasional exposure to outside weather conditions; and occasional or regular driving/providing own transportation.
