We are looking for a dedicated team member to function as a cashier and/or stocker and act in a lead capacity in the absence of the store manager or assistant store manager. This role will assist in setting and maintaining plan-o-grams and programs, provide exemplary customer service, and perform other duties as necessary to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and teamwork, while protecting company assets and reducing losses.
Duties and essential job functions include unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, restocking returned and recovered merchandise, assisting in plan-o-gram implementation, greeting customers, operating cash register, and maintaining a clean, well-organized store.
Qualifications include the ability to perform mathematical calculations, knowledge of cash handling procedures, effective interpersonal and communication skills, and understanding of safety policies and practices. High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) is preferred.
Working conditions involve frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling; handling merchandise and equipment; lifting up to 40 pounds; occasional climbing; fast-paced environment; and occasional exposure to outside weather conditions and driving.
