Production Support Associate Opportunity

Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Alexandria, MN. We are seeking candidates for Production Support Associate roles on a variety of shifts. Compensation for these contract opportunities ranges between $18.00-$23.00 per hour, depending on shift. Interested? Read below for more information!

What you will do as a Production Support Associate:

• Exhibit active leadership to model and support the company’s vision and strategies
• Promote and support a safe work environment and safety-oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines
• Set up and run equipment safely and efficiently to maximize output while meeting customer quality requirements
• Review manufacturing orders to verify internal and external customer specifications
• Ensure all quality practices are being followed
• Perform inspections of aluminum extrusion orders before they enter the aging oven
• Check the hardness and temper of each alloy
• Package orders based on customer specifications
• Load trailers based on customer specifications
• Meet delivery schedules to ensure customer service and satisfaction
• Monitor and make correct process changes for packing the product or changing rates
• Provide suggestions and continuous improvement ideas to help improve processes and procedures
• Distribute baskets to and from extrusion press lines
• Keep work area clean and orderly using the 5S system (standardize, sustain, sort, set in order, and shine)

What you need to be a Production Support Associate:

• 1+ years of manufacturing or production experience preferred
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to protocols
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications
• Skilled in using inspection and measuring tools
• Strong math, computer, and documentation skills
• Ability to identify product defects and make necessary adjustments
• Self-starter with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training, including Extrusion 101 #alexjobs
