Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Die Support Technician workers for a metal manufacturing/aluminum extrusion company in Alexandria, MN. In this role, you’ll support extrusion press operations by managing dies, bolsters, and manufacturing orders while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. What You’ll Do as a Die Support Technician:

• Deliver and return extrusion dies, bolsters, and manufacturing orders to extrusion press work centers
• Clean and maintain extrusion dies using caustic (sodium hydroxide) systems to remove aluminum buildup
• Manage and update the die reporting system daily, including die cards and run history data
• Monitor and maintain caustic rooms, tanks, and related equipment, coordinating maintenance and chemical pickups
• Analyze die performance data and assist with process and quality improvements
• Assist with training new hires and cross-trained employees within the Die Shop and Extrusion areas
• Maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S standards and follow all safety and quality procedures

What You Need to Bring to the Die Support Technician Role:

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience required
• Previous experience with aluminum extrusion processes required
• 5+ years of Die Shop experience required
• Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to read die drawings, blueprints, and understand GD&T
• Strong attention to safety and ability to recognize potential hazards
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation to Alexandria, MN
