We're looking for a talented Rails & Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing Product team!
In this role, you will take ownership of the entire infrastructure that powers our Rails apps, from developer tooling to production hosting, ensuring it is reliable, secure, and scalable. You will work closely with engineers to provide a seamless developer experience from development to deployment.
While infrastructure is your primary focus, you will also contribute to our Rails applications, taking part in the development of features and fostering close collaboration between product and infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and develop the infrastructure for our cloud-hosted applications.
- Maintain and develop the deployment pipeline for our on-premise applications.
- Ensure the reliability and uptime of our services.
- Collaborate with our Customer Support team to guide on matters of security, reliability, or interoperability.
- As a member of the Product Engineering team, contribute to the development of features, bringing in an SRE-like perspective.
What You'll Bring To The Team
- Strong DevOps skills: CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure as code, and Kamal.
- Expertise in managing DNS, CDN, and security via Cloudflare or similar tools.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, logging, and troubleshooting production systems.
- Solid experience with Ruby on Rails and cloud platforms, especially AWS (GCP or Azure a plus), including architecture, deployment, and scaling.
- A proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership, if you see a problem, you fix it.
- A collaborative spirit, working seamlessly across product and infrastructure challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to guide team members, communicate with the wider organization, and document systems clearly (English is our working language and must be mastered).
- Familiarity with banking or payments systems is a plus.
- Experience with hybrid work environments and advocacy for hybrid work models, fostering productivity and collaboration across distributed teams.

What We Offer
- Balance & Employment Flexibility: This role can be structured as a consultancy within Europe (±2 hour CET), allowing you to work remotely with occasional travel to our Stockholm office for team-building activities, workshops, or project-specific tasks. Alternatively, if you are based in Stockholm, you can join as a Sweden-based employee with a hybrid setup, spending part of your week in our A-house Ark office, Östermalm, and part working remotely. Please note that we do not provide relocation support or visa sponsorship.
