Infrastructure Automation Engineer
The Infrastructure Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions across Windows and UNIX/Linux platforms to improve efficiency, reliability, security, and lifecycle operations. The role works closely with engineering, operations, and security teams to streamline platform management through scripting, orchestration, and modern automation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Perl to automate provisioning, configuration, patching, and lifecycle upgrades
- Implement and enhance automation workflows using Ansible, AWX, and integration with CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot automation issues, perform diagnostic analysis, and support reliability improvements
- Maintain technical documentation, automation standards, and configuration playbooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine lifecycle automation designs and ensure platform scalability, security, and operational readiness
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong scripting expertise in PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Perl
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SCCM or other automation/configuration tools
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, IaC principles, and version control (e.g., Git)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for resolving complex system and automation issues
- Ability to produce clear documentation and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
