Distribution Executive

The Distribution Executive will be responsible for the execution and commercial management aimed at driving sales growth and market share expansion of the company's brands in our On Trade Wholesalers & C&C's.

This role requires spending a significant amount of time in the field and working closely with the distributor's sales and trade marketing teams. With a strong external focus, the Sales Executive is expected to lead the transformation and improvement of key business drivers (sales, coverage, and market share).

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the growth of the company's brands' market share through excellent execution at traditional trade points of sale.
  • Identify trends, threats, competitive activities, and business opportunities at the Category and Channel level, and manage the prioritization of actions to secure stronger execution and business growth.
  • Drive profitability and leverage growth through sales and assortment premiumization.
  • Define objectives and review weekly performance for the assigned territory.

Ensure Brilliant Execution:

  • Strengthen the Commercial Plan and Execution by improving assortment management, activation, and compliance with commercial agreements with clients.
  • Develop and coordinate, together with Trade Marketing, ad-hoc projects at key points of sale to accelerate sales growth.
  • Manage the delivery and proper use of POP materials for promotional activation.
  • Monitor and validate investments made per client for activities, review legal documentation per activity and per client, and process payments while ensuring alignment with the plan.
  • Guarantee the execution, follow-up, and evaluation of planned monthly activities, capturing learnings and necessary adjustments to continuously improve proposed activities with the marketing team.

Develop and Train the Distributor's Sales Force:

  • Establish processes and routines to align objectives and ensure consistent performance with the distributor's sales teams.
  • Communicate and ensure proper implementation of cycle activities in the assigned channel (distributor / chain / on-trade), guaranteeing full understanding across the sales force through training sessions.
  • Keep the sales force motivated and aligned with sales objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Build a detailed activation calendar with the commercial team and monitor resource availability to ensure proper implementation, taking actions that guarantee 100% execution of the plan.

About You:

  • Experience: in a Sales department of FMCG is a must - handling wholesalers/distributors (On trade channel)
  • Soft skills: Excellent relationship-building skills, confident, honest, trustful, impactful communication, team-playing, innovative thinking, results-orientation, high energy and drive, good prioritization and ambition to grow.
  • Hard skills: Outstanding negotiations skills, P&L literacy - strong numerical and analytical skills, Comfort in using MS Office (especially excel).
  • Languages: Proficiency in English and Portuguese.
