Due to the growth of agricultural areas and agave inventory, this position is developed for the supervision of technical and operational activities.

Purpose of the role:
To ensure the fulfillment of the current year's agave plantation plan, maintenance and the activities marked by the assigned inventory technology package, in time and form, taking care of productivity and safety at all times.
Monitor the phytosanitary status of the assigned plantations to avoid loss due to pests, diseases, rain, thefts or other events through supervision, analysis of reports and physical inventory management.
Functions:
Agave Plantation
Identify the cultivable land area required in the year within the denomination of origin; which should be located in close distances to existing agricultural premises in authorized municipalities. Obtain samples of soils to analyze the feasibility of the lands and perform operational reports. Request technical, commercial and legal authorization of the identified surface, through the process of contracting company premises. Coordinate with authorized suppliers the programming of outsourcing machinery for achieving the calendar of field preparation, or in case, with own tractors to reduce the costs of the activity. Manage the reception of own and/or third-party seedlings. Request and schedule the required personnel for activities related to agave plantation.
Agave Maintenance
Supervision of manual and mechanized field activities (quality, productivity, safety). Evaluation of the effectiveness and quality of the work performed in the agave plantations. Supervision of the physical inventory of the agave plantations. Provide explanations of the variations versus the accounting inventory of the immediate previous month and, in case, perform control actions.
Administrative
Request agrochemical inputs, tractors and machinery. Conduct interviews with candidates to join the team. Follow up on new staff and their proper incorporation into the corresponding crews. Ensure that all personnel of the crews under their charge have the necessary safety equipment and supplies to carry out daily activities. Follow up with the Zone Administrator on issues related to payments with suppliers. Participate in the daily operations review meeting "Tier 1". Promote & lead Improve & Transformation projects through productivity, cost avoidance/evasion projects. As well as quality, sustainability, safety and environmental projects.
Skills and experience required:
- Engineering in agronomy or related
- Minimum 3 years experience in the cultivation of Tequilana Weber variety Azul agave.
- Evaluation of average weight per plant in an agave plot through statistical analysis.
- Timely identification of risks and opportunities
- Personnel management and supervision
- Advanced handling in Office
