The Role

We're looking for a motivated and thorough Financial Analyst to support our Commercial Finance Manager and play a key role in strengthening our finance operations. This role offers hands-on responsibility in month-end reporting, credit control, purchasing, and continuous improvement projects, giving you a strong platform for professional development in a global organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process month-end journals (revenue, COGS, overheads, stock, etc.) with strict working day 2 deadlines
  • Support the Irish Brand Homes (IBH) Financial Accountant with monthly Management Accounts, benchmark packs, and performance reporting
  • Provide ongoing finance support to the wider management team.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of cash processes and controls; support the cash administrator when required
  • Reconcile revenue and cash/card receipts with front-end retail and ticketing systems

Debtors – Credit Control

  • Run proactive debt collection and maintain a clean debtor ledger
  • Prepare monthly aged debtor analysis for review with the Financial Accountant and Commercial Finance Lead
  • Supervise all debtor processes (invoicing, payment allocation, account reconciliation) ensuring full CARM compliance
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers and maintain excellent customer service

Creditors – Accounts Payable

  • Own and control the accounts payable process, including the Purchase Order cycle
  • Support budget owners with PO creation, invoice queries, and ensure compliance with Diageo processes
  • Handle key creditor accounts and process P-card payments

Additional Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement in controls and process efficiency
  • Partner with budget owners to support cost control
  • Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with statutory audit queries
  • Support finance administration for the Business Storehouse (GSH) bottle shop
  • Participate in testing and implementing new systems
  • Contribute to the CARM and compliance agenda

About You

  • BSc or MSc in Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • 2–3+ years of experience in an analytical finance role
  • Practical experience in month-end processes, journal entries, and P&L preparation
  • Solid understanding of cash handling, accounts receivable, and accounts payable cycles
  • Experience with balance sheet reconciliations
  • Strong analytical abilities, high numeracy, and advanced Excel skills
  • Confidence communicating with internal and external partners
  • Good working IT knowledge, ideally in a multi-retail or visitor-experience environment.
