We are seeking a VP Human Resources for DHL Freight Germany & Austria (m/f/d) at our Headquarter in Bonn.

This leadership role drives and manages the HR function for Germany and Austria as a member of the Management Board and as Labour Director (Arbeitsdirektor) for the German organization. It provides input to and ensures implementation of our joint HR roadmap to fulfil the organizations resource requirements, through attracting, developing and retaining capable people to achieve its current and future business objectives in line with country's business strategy, industry best practices and local legal requirements.

Your key responsibilities:

• Actively shape, jointly with the Managing Director and the Senior Management team, Germany's way back to a true high performance organization.
• Continue the HR transformation into an even more state-of-the-art and future-proof setup.
• Implement DHL Group and DGFF HR roadmap aligned with the countries' business goals.
• Set functional priorities for the country and align its activities to support achievement of business goals and influence strategic direction of the business balanced with the employee perspective
• Ensure strong alignment with Group and divisional HR frameworks.
• Lead HR transformation to strengthen organizational capability and drive performance.
• Build and develop the HR team and core HR processes (e.g., C&B, L&D, Recruiting, HR Ops, Change).
• Act as a trusted partner to the business and partner with our social partners.
• Track progress of HR initiatives to ensure efficiency and impact.
• Identify risks early and drive solutions for successful business strategy deployment.
• Lead critical negotiations with internal and external partners.
• Foster strong relationships with senior leaders across DGFF and DHL.
• Represent HR as a thought leader and promote collaboration to deliver integrated solutions.

Our perfect match:

• Ideally a minimum 10 years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 8 years in senior leadership roles, preferably in Germany
• Previous experience partnering the business at a senior management & executive level in a complex environment e.g. multi country/ customers
• Proven track record in managing a tariff contract landscape
• Proven experience in successfully deploying complex organizational change projects
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong understanding of quantitative data and demonstrated experience using data and trends to develop winning strategies
• Fluent in German (native) and English
