Logistics Engineer

Without you, our logistics would come to a standstill. You ensure that our warehouses are designed, operations are optimized, and potential customers are attracted. Your work makes our service even better!

You are actively involved in the creation and optimization of new (and existing) logistics concepts. In your role, you have various stakeholders and are in frequent contact with Business Unit Management, Site Management, and operations. At DHL Supply Chain, there is a strong emphasis on innovation, and you will spend a lot of time on this as well. It is expected that you will independently develop business cases for latent issues and efficiency-increasing innovations.

You also actively gather customer demand and/or issues to subsequently implement solutions through a project plan. Additionally, you provide support in offer processes by conducting analyses, reports, and cost models.

You also have an important role in the start-up of new locations. You are responsible for process setup, material handling equipment, warehouse layout, mechanization, automation, and innovations.

In addition to the standard tasks, you are a sounding board and sparring partner for your colleagues. You have a strong sense of responsibility and are happy to take on the responsibility. Preferably, you are ambitious and want to grow into a role such as Senior Engineer, Site Implementation Manager, or Project Manager.

• Full-time position with a good starting salary in scale 10 between € 3,455.07 to 4,500 with growth to € 5,614.97;

You have a strong sense of responsibility and actively seek out assignments. Time management is familiar to you, so working on several projects at once will not be a problem for you. Moreover, you have the will to strengthen our team and work together to achieve our success.

You also recognize yourself in the following:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics and as an engineer or similar role;
• You are independent and dive into complex issues;
• Project management and time management come naturally to you;
• You are a good conversationalist who engages in conversations with both clients and colleagues, in Dutch but also in English;
• Of course, you are numerically and analytically strong, but also ambitious.
