Whether shaping winning tender solutions, guiding cross‑functional project teams, or driving operational excellence across our Aviation Business Unit, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering transitions that set new standards in performance and resilience.

A typical day may involve:

• Overseeing the introduction of new technology (e.g., IT platforms, autonomous vehicles, hardware solutions) and ensuring readiness for operational use. Including training and implementations of these services.
• Leading the operational workstream for an aviation tenders, shaping the service model, operational solution and costings alongside Business Development.
• Driving the mobilisation of a new aviation contracts, ensuring transition plans, resource models and risk assessments are fully aligned and on track.
• Guiding cross‑functional teams through complex aviation change programmes, improving safety, service stability and operational efficiency.
• Meeting with prospective aviation customers to represent the operation, validate the solution, and build confidence in DHL's capability and compliance.
• Reviewing performance, profitability and operational assumptions across the Aviation Business Unit, identifying opportunities to strengthen commercial and service outcomes.

This role would suit people who:

• Bring a strong aviation operations background, meaningful exposure to aviation environments, ideally with experience in aviation logistics and operations – Essential
• Possess strong implementation and project‑management capability, particularly around new business start‑ups, operational turnarounds or major change programmes.
• Thrive in fast‑paced, complex environments where they lead cross‑functional teams and manage multiple moving parts simultaneously.
• Are confident shaping operational solutions, analysing cost models, and challenging assumptions to drive commercial robustness.
• Communicate clearly and credibly with customers, internal stakeholders and operational teams, representing the operation with professionalism.
• Enjoy problem‑solving, continuous improvement and using data, insight and operational understanding to design safer, better and more efficient aviation services.

To obtain a full airside ID, you must:

• Be able to provide five years' address history
• Be able to provide five years' reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
• Pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test
