Family Support Coordinator

Devereux Arizona's Community Based Services are designed to provide rapid, intensive, in-home support in the critical days/weeks following a crisis. Services include intensive, one-on-one in-home support, crisis and safety planning, family support and coaching, behavior management, and coordinating with community supports. We are looking for talented individuals who have experience working in behavioral health, with families and at-risk youth, to be a positive role model and have an impact on our families!

The Family (Crisis) Support Coordinator works one-to-one with youth between the ages of 2-17, in a natural setting: home, school, group home, foster care, or kinship placement. Staff work with a caseload of 3-5 individuals, teaching essential life and emotional regulation skills, behavior reduction, anger management, coping with trauma-related behaviors, and communication techniques to help youth succeed at home, in school and in the community. Other job duties include working with the Child/Family Team, intakes, case management, and chart maintenance/documentation. We provide mileage reimbursement, work equipment (phone and laptop), and work schedule based on the individual/family needs.

Pay Range: $21.00 - 23.10/hr based on related experience and education. Full Time and Part Time Schedules: Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday; ability to work afternoons/nights (as late as 8:30pm). Ability to commute throughout Maricopa County utilizing your own vehicle (with mileage reimbursement); extra coverage needed for the West Valley and East Valley/Mesa areas.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Previous experience working with children/adolescents with behavioral/emotional needs (direct support, direct care, behavioral health)
  • Minimum requirement of high school diploma or equivalency; Bachelors degree preferred
  • High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma at least four (4) years of full time behavioral health work experience; OR:
  • Has a high school diploma or equivalency diploma and a combination of education in a field related to behavioral health and full time behavioral health work experience totaling at least two (2) years; OR:
  • Has an Associate's degree and at least two (2) years of full time behavioral health work experience; OR:
  • Has a Bachelor's degree and at least one (1) year of full time behavioral health work experience
  • Ability to commute throughout Maricopa County utilizing your own vehicle (with mileage reimbursement); extra coverage needed for the West Valley and East Valley/Mesa areas

Other:

  • Required to attend 2 weeks of new hire orientation (paid) Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm; plus an additional 2-3 weeks of on-the-job training
  • Valid unrestricted Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)
  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
  • Drug test within 24 hours of offer w/ negative results
