Job Description

As NetApp Storage Engineer:

This role involves managing storage infrastructure changes via HPSM and OTSM, including tasks like Qtree management, firmware upgrades, export policies, and quota configurations. It includes monitoring and maintenance using tools such as Active IQ, OpenNMS, Grafana, and Hawkeye, as well as coordinating technician deployments and handling performance and security issues. Additional responsibilities cover automation and scripting (PowerShell, Linux, Ansible), backups, migrations, documentation, and introducing new technologies (e.g., S3, Anti-Ransomware). The position offers a long-term opportunity to help define the future operational model.

Qualifications

Background and required skills:

• Bachelor or Master's degree in the following areas: Computer science, Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent work experience in IT
• 3-5 years of experience in managing and implementing NetApp storage solutions
• Experience in planning, installation, and configuration of NetApp systems
• Advanced knowledge of NetApp ONTAP (including SnapMirror, SnapVault)
• Knowledge of NAS technologies (as well as protocols such as iSCSI, NFS, and CIFS)
• Experience with Ansible
• Experience with Windows PowerShell and Linux scripts.
• Strong communication skills and excellent written and verbal communication competences in English language.

Advantage:

• German is a plus
• Knowledge in agile

• Experience with YAML
• Experience with Monitoring tools like ELK Stack, Grafana Stack, Prometheus,
• Knowledge of cloud storage provisioning (keyword: Storage provisioning with service portal).
• Conducting performance tests with documented proof.
• Creating operation manuals, preparing documentation for proof of compliance with customers
