Role Description

We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer in Foreign Exchange Technology of the Deutsche Bank. Deutsche Bank (DB) is the largest bank in Germany and one of the top European banks. Global Foreign Exchange (GFX) is a vital part of the DB Investment Bank that provides our clients with many ways to exchange currencies and manage currency risk. Deutsche Bank has been ranked the Overall FX Market Leader by Euromoney FX Survey.

GFX heavily relies on its technology to stay ahead of the competition. Our products are used by thousands of external clients as well as hundreds of internal trading and sales desks and operations. They provide connectivity with Brokers, Exchanges and Clearing houses. Development of our products gives engineers a unique ability to learn business, work with big data and analytics.

RMS Trade processing is a platform that allows trade capturing and trade life cycle processing of FX&Commodity trades (more than 3 million of trade events) to support Trading, Structuring and Operations groups under the GFX Trading desk activities.

Current technical stack includes Java, Kotlin, Kafka, REST web services, Oracle. We build cloud-ready solutions and host them on-premises (Google Anthos) and public clouds (Google GKE).

Your key responsibilities

• Set up test automation approaches and frameworks from scratch and improve the existing automation processes/approaches
• Design, develop and extend in-house testing automation tool / frameworks and test scripts for Java/Spring-based applications using Java, Selenium, TestNG/Junit, Cucumber and REST Assured for API Automation
• Plan and execute full set of test activities, coordinating complex end-to-end testing across multiple systems
• Drive implementation of testable architecture for developed applications
• Take initiative and lead to optimize a length of test cycle and therefore time to market for new functionality
• Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, AWS Code Build) to support continuous delivery and deployment
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure robust test coverage and high-quality releases

Your skills and experience

• 10+ years of professional experience working in Quality Assurance area, test analysis skills, ability to design test cases using different test techniques
• Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Java, Kotlin, Groovy, or JS/TS
• Solid Experience in test Automation framework design and implementation
• Strong technical background, experience with SQL, Unix commands
• Proven track record in building QA process and test automation approaches on large scale
• Experience in testing at different levels of complex distributed systems
