We're seeking a Data Engineer specialized in Salesforce Data Cloud to design and maintain the pipelines that bring customer data into the platform. You'll ensure external data is ingested, transformed, and mapped correctly to Data Cloud objects, enabling a unified customer profile and downstream activation.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage data ingestion pipelines into Salesforce Data Cloud from enterprise systems, APIs, and streaming sources.
  • Transform and prepare external data so it aligns with Data Cloud objects (Data Lake Objects, Calculated Insights, Unified Profiles).
  • Partner with the Data Cloud Architect and Admin to implement identity resolution strategies and harmonization rules.
  • Monitor ingestion jobs and troubleshoot failures, latency issues, or data mismatches.
  • Optimize pipeline performance for large-scale datasets and near-real-time use cases.
  • Document ingestion flows, field mappings, and integration logic for governance.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in data engineering, with direct Salesforce Data Cloud integration experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce data ingestion methods (batch connectors, APIs, MuleSoft, or ETL tools like Informatica/Fivetran/dbt).
  • Proficiency in SQL; Python for data manipulation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, GCP, or Azure) and how they connect into Data Cloud.
  • Understanding of Data Cloud schema, identity resolution, and calculated insights.
  • Salesforce certifications (Data Cloud Consultant, Integration Architect) a plus.
