Position Summary

The Field Service Manager is the company's focal point for providing exceptional services to our customer base. Responsible for overseeing an offsite team of field technician(s).

Role Responsibilities

• Build trusted working relationships with team members, business partners and customers
• Provide first-rate service upholding job quality, safety and productivity standards
• Maintain open and positive communication with employees, customers and vendors
• Maintain a presence of professionalism in appearance, behavior and job knowledge
• Listen to the customer's concerns and evaluate possible solutions based on their need.
• Diagnose problems accurately and timely
• Perform service, repairs and maintenance in a timely manner
• Make efficient use of materials, parts, supplies and company tools
• Review and approve service tickets
• Provide technical assistance and supervision to the junior technicians and apprentices.
• Has the authority to order and procure materials, equipment and tools necessary to perform assigned tasks as efficiently and cost effective as possible
• Set daily expectations for crew performance
• Review projects, define the equipment and service scope with customer and internal team
• Provide proactive leadership for all service personnel including hiring, training, motivation and career development
• Review or create job site safety plan
• Monitor costs and budgets for each project
• Complete an accurate diary of events. Photograph work performed.
• Complete pre and post project documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Licensed Master Electrician, Minimum of ten (10) years of hands on experience in the electrical trade, Must be competent in diagnosing and developing solutions for daily service calls and projects, Excellent verbal and written communication, Excellent analytical and organizational skills, Attentive listener, The ability to take initiative and be self-motivated, An adaptable and flexible attitude, allowing them to approach and solve a problem, Strong interpersonal skills, Strong attention to detail, The ability to collaborate within a team, Ability to self-train quickly and pick up new skills as necessary, Fluent in use of MS-Office products
