Background & Requirements
This position will be in the NATIE (North American Total Industrial Engineering department)
Preferred candidates – Member of TIE, PE, PC, Logistics, or Production team leader or section leader.
4-year degree preferably in Industrial Engineering.
Travel 1 week per month domestically and internationally is required.
Basic knowledge of TIE and have attended Step 1 training with homework completed.
Objective/Requirement:
Develop skills for product level Material and Information Flow Diagram (MIFD) and connect current and future state.
Developing coaching skills to be able to lead SWKL & Step 1.
Work with plant top management to understand future targets and support development of key TIE, TPS, & PC activities to achieve EF vision related to productivity and lead time targets. Link each activity to plant vision connected to EF corner with monthly follow up.
Develop skill to lead through-out kaizen from receiving, storage, conveyance, sub assy, & final assy, and shipping.
Travel to NSR (North Sub Region) & MSR (Mexico Sub Region) to be involved in throughout kaizen projects to gain perspective from other plants.
TIE Basic skills (Type I & III standard work, parts supply standard work, creating MIFD, 8 Basic Tools)
TIE Productivity & Output Improvement skills – Improve Type I, Motion Kaizen, OEE Machine Cycle, Kaizen Parts Supply, Flexible Manpower Parts supply and line, Operational Availability, & Design efficient logistics flow.
Lead Time Skills – (Introduction & improving level of fill up system, Reducing lead time in process, Order flow, Lead time reduction in shipping & logistics.
