The salary range for this role is: $86,079.72 - $146,324.22
Responsibilities
Provide all managers with responsibilities for a production operation shift at Del Monte Foods Inc., Plover WI, including compliance and enforcement of company policies & procedures, personnel, safety, production KPIs, and quality. This role will have direct oversight of the Receiving and Sanitation department and all related department activities. During the processing season, the position is required to assume responsibility for a production shift which includes but not limited to: Product Safety, Food Security, Product Legality, and Product Quality.
Food Safety and Quality responsibilities also include:
- Ensure product safety through development, review and enforcement of company policy
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal and corporate food safety regulatory standards
- Review and enforce company quality standards provided by facility, regional and corporate quality authorities
- Responsible for achieving shift production targets on cost, quality, safety, production volumes, while maintaining a production shift that is GMP compliant with good morale among all employees.
- Ensure compliance of FDA, USDA, BRC, and AIB regulations and corporate quality systems. Act as a member of the HACCP Team.
- Direct Production Supervisor in the non-processing season to schedule, plan, and track all maintenance activity including capital projects.
- Plan and direct department spend to achieve fixed department and capital budgets.
- Utilize company MES (Traksys) and CMMS to identify needs, establish priorities, and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain and promote a safe work environment for all employees. Implement and enforce all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines. Act as member of the Safety Administration committee.
- Manage the performance of full-time and seasonal personnel as required; observe, communicate, appraise, and interact with production personnel; enforce Company policies and procedures. Work with employees and other departments to ensure good employee relations.
- Manage the development and performance of employees within scope of responsibility. This includes writing and presenting annual performance evaluations for salaried direct reports and assisting in the hourly employee evaluations as needed.
- Assist in the success of lean manufacturing and DMPS within area of responsibility. Promote CI as a means of improving production, working conditions (employee morale), and quality.
- Ensure compliance with corporate environmental policies and WPDES permit.

Physical Demands
- Must be able to endure wet canning facility environment
- Must be able to endure hot/humid canning facility environment (100 degrees).
- Must be able to climb stairs, occasionally.
- Must be able to stand, stoop and walk, occasionally to frequently.
- Must be able to sit sustained periods of time, frequently.
- Must be able to wear protective clothing –hard hat, glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, hair/beard nets frequently.
- Must have ability to carry up to 15lbs., occasionally.
- Must be able to balance or maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow or slippery surfaces.
- Must be able to withstand exposure to sanitation, production, and ingredient processes.

Qualifications
Required Education and/or Certifications:
- 4-year degree, preferably in Food Science/Business with 3-5 years' experience OR combination of education and experience
