Summary: As a Social Service Specialist II, you'll provide essential support to the Hudson State Service Center. You'll assist all who enter the center by addressing their needs and concerns, from the public to staff to clients. By conducting interviews, you will determine client needs and eligibility for the services and programs offered by Division of Social Services (DSS). You'll also utilize the resources of other social service agencies and the community to assist in emergency assistance and in referring for those who are ineligible. Through interactions with the public, you'll promote effective public relations and educate on the services provided by DSS.
