The Role
We're building an internal platform that streamlines network service management and service delivery processes. Our solution exposes APIs and leverages Temporal workflows to handle asynchronous tasks, with comprehensive observability through OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, and Tempo. The ideal candidate would provide technical direction in the creation, delivery, and integration of moderately complex software solutions leveraging mainly the Go programming language, with other languages as necessary. May translate business requirements into specific designs and/or participate in the design, valuation, and selection of Engineering solutions for software for a specific business process. Establish the current and future use of the practice, metrics, and methodologies to determine current and future solutions. Explore and evaluate new and approved technologies. Consult on the application of existing and new, approved technologies to develop solutions. Ensure the process of creation and delivery of design and solution in accordance with the architectural direction.
Location
This is a work from home position within the US.
8+ years of experience with expertise in Golang, including concurrency patterns, error handling, API development and familiarity with performance profiling and optimization techniques in Go.
4+ years of experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and asynchronous messaging systems.
3-5 years of experience with Architecture, Design & Development of web-based applications.
3-5 years of experience with Agile Development Methodology.
3-5 years of experience working with both relational and non-relational databases.
Proficiency with observability tools and metrics collection (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or similar).
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for distributed systems.
Experience with containerization using Docker and container-based development workflows.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Experience with test-driven development and writing maintainable, well-tested code.
Experience with workflow orchestration systems like Temporal or Cadence.
Knowledge of telecommunications domain.
Ability to mentor engineers and drive best practices in software architecture.
Understanding of OpenAPI/Swagger standards.
Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Understanding of networking protocols and service mesh technologies.
Experience with Kubernetes.
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. Location Based Pay Ranges: $129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY. $136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI. $142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
