Ever wondered how cutting-edge medical equipment stays reliable and ready to save lives? That's our Service Engineering team's mission! As a summer intern, you'll dive into projects that help keep Hologic's mammography systems running smoothly. You'll get hands-on experience working with complex devices, learn how service strategies are crafted, and see firsthand how great teamwork leads to better patient care. Bring your problem-solving skills—let's make a difference together!

What you'll be up to during your 10-12 week adventure:

• Help develop repair and replacement procedures for our next-gen mammography system.
• Support our corrective action projects by creating remediation kits and testing them out.
• Update technical documentation so our field engineers have clear, easy-to-follow instructions.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and learn the ins-and-outs of medical device quality management.
• Gain hands-on experience with electromechanical systems.

Who we're hoping to meet:

• You can work full-time during the summer (May/June - August/September).
• You're currently working on your Bachelor's or Master's degree, with at least one semester left after the internship.
• Your major is Mechanical Engineering, or something similar.
• You're heading into your junior or senior year.
• You know how to get your point across, whether you're writing or speaking.
• You've dabbled in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• You're comfortable lifting up to 40lbs.
• You're excited to work hands-on with complex electromechanical systems.

Location, pay & other important details:

• You can work onsite at our Newark, DE campus.
• Heads up: intern housing, relocation, and housing stipends aren't provided, so you'll need to have your living situation and transportation sorted out.
• Pay range: $25 - $28 per hour, based on your class standing and operational function.
