UCT is looking for a talented Engineer I to join us in Cebu!
The Engineer I is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate product configurations, BOM structures, and engineering change processes to support efficient manufacturing and product lifecycle management. This role ensures seamless coordination of ECOs, ECRs, and related documentation, collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve configuration issues, and supports NPI initiatives by validating customer data and streamlining assembly processes for manufacturability and traceability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and ensure NOC and S.O. configurations are accurate.
- Creating and submitting Engineering Changes through Agile.
- Maintain sales order BOM & initiate ECO change management.
- Coordinate the ECOs/MCOs/DEVs/ECRs process internally. Flawless execution of tracking the implementation of ECO/ECN/ECR.
- Submitting Problem Report/ Supplier Problem Sheet to the customer for BOM-related issues (engineering-related issues).
- Ensuring all affected parts and BOMs are included in the CR/IR/PR or corrected via the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process.
- Understand the scope of the engineering change downstream.
- Responsible for setting up, managing, and revising all the customers' product information, i.e., BOMs, part numbers, and AVLs, to have proper control over assembly revision.
- Streamline the BOM structure setup with the Product Engineer for assembly sequence control, traceability data collection, and material back flush accuracy.
- Work with the Product Engineer to restructure customer BOM to work with UCT manufacturability.
- Validate and ensure all customer document packages, such as Assembly DWG, Fabrication DWG, Procedure & Test, and Manufacturing Instruction, are available and uploaded to the Agile system.
- Work closely with internal/external customers to resolve any configuration issues.
- Generate a list of new parts/new revision parts that need sourcing info to the quote team for pre-determined NPI projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Degree in Engineering.
- Proficiency with MS suite, and ADOBE Acrobat. Advanced Excel knowledge and design experience are a plus.
- Knowledge of engineering documentation and document control procedures.
- Able to read technical drawings and mechanical BOM.
- Basic understanding of Industrial Equipment manufacturing.
