Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team at Hawks Cay Resort. The Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of the resort's facilities. This position requires hands-on experience with various maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs, to maintain the highest standards of quality and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond promptly to guest and operational maintenance requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, ensuring minimal disruption to resort operations.
  • Maintain the resort's pools, water features, and landscaping systems, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety checks, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective measures.
  • Assist in the execution of resort improvement projects, renovations, and new installations.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of tools, parts, and supplies necessary for daily operations.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to provide seamless guest experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school training preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in general maintenance, facilities management, or a related field, preferably in a resort or hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently.
  • Familiarity with safety and building codes, as well as OSHA regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions.
