Purpose Of Position:
The Lift Operations Recruiting and Scheduling Manager will ensure full department staffing levels and scheduling appropriate to our business needs. They will be in place to engage, develop, and foster relationships that support positive attrition. This candidate will need to possess extreme fluidity in their personal schedule, time management, and relationship building abilities. The Lift Operations Recruiting and Scheduling Manager will be the first impression our candidates encounter and should truly embody our employer of choice ethos.
Job Duties And Responsibilities:
- Train and develop Lift Operations Recruiting, Training, and Payroll Supervisors.
- Oversee and improve Workday recruiting software to streamline hiring.
- Conduct screenings, interviews, and hiring of qualified candidates aligned with organizational goals.
- Create and manage job offers, paperwork, and onboarding through Workday.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to meet staffing needs.
- Manage budgeting, payroll, and attendance tracking processes.
- Oversee Mountain Operations housing applications and assignments.
- Coordinate with the Training Supervisor on weekly training classes.
- Monitor and analyze attendance trends to support staffing decisions.
- Develop and distribute pre-season communications and informational letters for new and returning staff.
- Build positive relationships with new hires from acceptance to first day arrival.
- Create calendars for staff arrivals, start dates, and operational planning.
- Provide daily work schedules and documentation for lift pods and supervisors.
- Regularly update Field Guide to ensure accurate, accessible information.
- Communicate clearly with staff and management, maintain interdepartmental rapport, and remain flexible to evolving duties.
Job Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience with Deer Valley Lift Operations and Recruiting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills including MS Office, Workday and Teams.
- Basic operating knowledge of all Deer Valley lifts.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Valid Driver's license.
- Intermediate skiing ability.
- Operational knowledge of snowmobile, snowblower and company vehicles.
Dates Of Employment: Year Round
Pay Rate: $90-105k Salary DOE
