Seasonal Workers Compensation And Safety Coordinator

Purpose of Position: Support the daily operations of the workers' compensation program, resort-wide safety training, compliance monitoring, and record keeping. This role also provides administrative support and collaborates closely with the Benefits Team to foster a safe and healthy work environment across Deer Valley.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the entry, tracking, and administration of workers' compensation claims, supporting employees and managers throughout the process.
- Coordinate return-to-work accommodations for both work-related and non-work-related injuries.
- Communicate with employees and managers to provide accurate and timely information related to claims and accommodations.
- Participate in incident investigations and help implement action plans to reduce future incidents.
- Collaborate with the Benefits Specialist to maintain and update OSHA recordkeeping logs.
- Manage the driving program database, process Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) requests, and follow up on accident reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external safety regulations, maintaining confidentiality where required.
- Communicate with departments to identify safety training needs and assist with the roll out of plans.
- Support the coordination of safety and wellness programs.
- Train and support managers and supervisors on company policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative coverage and support for the HR team as needed.
- Assist with record keeping, reporting, and general office responsibilities.
- Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in a variety of software platforms with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with Workday, Office 365, and Freshservice (or similar ticketing platforms) preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel information.
- Flexible scheduling required, including holidays and weekends.
- Compliance experience, knowledge of workers' compensation, and OSHA requirements preferred.
Dates of Employment: 11/0/1/2025 – 04/19/2026
Pay Rate: Pay: $22.00 - 25.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
